Why this website?

Because I wanted somewhere outside the noise, a quieter way of being online.

I believe the internet can be a more intentional space. A place where we choose how and when we engage with it, using technology intentionally rather than letting technology use us. Perhaps that means having a dedicated computer, or simply setting aside a dedicated amount of time to be online. A place to slow down, think, explore, and connect, rather than endlessly scroll.

So much of the internet, and social media in particular, is designed to keep us scrolling.

I find that exhausting.

I wanted something different, a place where my work can exist quietly, without constantly asking something of you. You can spend a few minutes here, or stay a while. There is no right amount of time. You can read an essay, watch a video, explore my visual art, or come across things that don't always need words. This website is my attempt to make being online feel a little more intentional again.

A place with…

  • NO endless feed.

  • NO long carousels to swipe through.

  • NO engagement tricks or algorithms.

  • NO subscription or app required to access my work.

  • NO “comment below, and I'll send you the link.”

  • NO “maze of links leading somewhere else.”

Learn more about why none of the above actually work for me beyond personal preference here. If you enjoy my work, I would be pleased if you showed your support by leaving me a tip on Ko-fi, which you can find on the ‘Support Me’ tab. Otherwise, take your time.

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet.
